Uses
Generic viagra is used to treat importence or erectile dysfunction in men. Take one dose 1 hour before sexual act. The effect will last for 3-4 hours, but will only achieved while one is sexually stimulated.
Viagra or sildenafil citrate if taken with a high-fat meal or alcohol, may result in a delay in absorption of sildenafil and the peak effect might be reduced. This is because the plasma concentration is lowered.
Dosage
Just like all other drugs, Viagra or sildenafil citrate should be administered in a proper dosage and at the discretion of a licensed medical practitioner. The prescribed dose of Viagra or sildenafil citrate is 25 mg to 100 mg that should be taken once per day. Take one dose one hour prior to sexual activity.
Doctors usually recommend a dosage of 50 mg to start with and then lower or raise the dosage as per the effect achieved.
Side effects
Side effects include priapism, hypotension, and increased intraocular pressure. Common side effects include headache, flushing, dyspepsia, prolonged erection and palpitations.

Contraindications include:

Overdose
In the case of an overdose, you should immediately inform your doctor and seek medical assistance.
Missed dose
Viagra is taken only when needed. You can't miss a dose.
